ST L4923 handbook

The L4923 is a Heptawat high-current monolithic voltage regulator with very low voltage drop (0.70 V max at 1 A, TJ = 25 °C). The device is internally protected against load dumps transient of + 60 V, input overvoltage, reverse polarity, overheating and output short circuit: thanks to these features the L4923 is very suited for automotive and industrial applications. The reset function is very useful for power off and power on information when supplying a microprocessor. The inhibit function reduces drastically the consumption when no load current is required: typically the standby current value is 300 µA.

L4903 is a dual 5V regulator with reset and disable functions. It provides output currents of 50mA and 100mA. The fixed precision output voltage is 5V±2%. The reset function is controlled by the input voltage and output 1 voltage. The timing of the reset function can be externally programmed. The reset output level is related to output 2. Output 2 is internally switched with active discharging. Output 2 can be disabled using a logical input. It has low leakage current, less than 1µA at output 1. It also features input overvoltage protection up to 60V. The reset output is normally low. The output transistors have SOA protection. It provides short circuit and thermal overload protection.
