LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC1840 handbook

LTC1840 is a fan controller with two 8-bit current output DACs, two tachometer interfaces, and four general purpose I/O (GPIO) pins. It operates from a single supply with a range of 2.7V to 5.75V. A current output DAC is used to control an external switching regulator, which controls the fan speed. A current output DAC and tachometer allow a controller to form a closed control loop on fan velocity. The GPIO pins can be used as digital inputs or open drain pull-down outputs. The part features a simple 2-wire I2C and SMBus compat- ible serial interface that allows communication between many devices. The interface includes a fault status register that reflects the state of the part and which can be polled to find the cause of a fault condition. Other operational characteristics of the part, such as DAC output currents, GPIO modes, and tachometer frequency, are also pro- grammed through the serial interface. Two address pins provide nine possible device addresses. The BLAST pin is provided to force the DAC output currents to program the maximum regulator output voltages through a single pin and gate the operation of the serial access timer.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC1051/LTC1053 Manual

LTC1051/LTC1053 are high performance, low cost dual/quad zero-drift operational amplifiers. The unique achievement of the LTC1051/LTC1053 is that they integrate on chip the sample-and-hold capacitors usually required externally by other chopper amplifiers. Further, the LTC1051/LTC1053 offer better combined overall DC and AC performance than is available from other chopper stabilized amplifiers with or without internal sample/hold capacitors. The LTC1051/LTC1053 have an offset voltage of 0.5µV, drift of 0.01µV/°C, DC to 10Hz, input noise voltage typically 1.5µVP-P and typical voltage gain of 140dB. The slew rate of 4V/µs and gain bandwidth product of 2.5MHz are achieved with only 1mA of supply current per op amp. Overload recover times from positive and negative saturation conditions are 1.5ms and 3ms respectively, about a 100 or more times improvement over chopper amplifiers using external capacitors. The LTC1051 is available in an 8-lead standard plastic dual-in-line package as well as a 16-pin SW package. The LTC1053 is available in a standard 14-pin plastic package and an 18-pin SO. The LTC1051/LTC1053 are plug in replacements for most standard dual/quad op amps with improved performance.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT3572 handbook

The LT3572 is a highly integrated dual piezo motor driver capable of driving two piezo motors at up to 40V from a 5V supply. Each piezo driver can be independently turned on or off along with the boost converter. The boost regulator has a soft-start capability that limits the inrush current at start-up. The boost regulator switching frequency is set by an external resistor or the frequency can be synchronized by an external clock. A PGOOD pin indicates when the output of the boost converter is in regulation and the piezo drivers are allowed to start switching. The LT3572 is available in a (4mm × 4mm) 20-pin QFN package.

This op amp has an output stage that swings within 35mV of either supply rail to maximize the signal dynamic range in low supply applications. The input common mode range extends to the negative supply. It is fully specified on 3V and 5V, and an HV version guarantees operation on supplies of ±5V. The LTC6244 is available in the 8-pin MSOP, and for compact designs, it is packaged in the tiny dual fine pitch lead free (DFN) package.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1317/LT1317B handbook

The LT1317/LT1317B are micropower, fixed frequency step-up DC/DC converters that operate over a wide input voltage range of 1.5V to 12V. The LT1317 features automatic shifting to power saving Burst ModeTM operation at light loads. High efficiency is maintained over a broad 300µA to 200mA load range. Peak switch current during Burst Mode operation is kept below 250mA for most operating conditions which results in low output ripple voltage, even at high input voltages. The LT1317B does not shift into Burst Mode operation at light loads, eliminating low frequency output ripple at the expense of light load efficiency. The LT1317/LT1317B contain an internal low-battery detector with a 200mV reference that stays alive when the device goes into shutdown. No-load quiescent current of the LT1317 is 100µA and shuts down to 30µA. The internal NPN power switch handles a 500mA current with a voltage drop of just 300mV. The LT1317/LT1317B are available in MS8 and SO-8 packages.
