LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC2499 handbook

The LTC®2499 is a 16-channel (eight differential), 24-bit, No Latency DSTM ADC with Easy Drive technology and a 2-wire, I2C interface. The patented sampling scheme elimi- nates dynamic input current errors and the shortcomings of on-chip buffering through automatic cancellation of differential input current. This allows large external source impedances and rail-to-rail input signals to be directly digitized while maintaining exceptional DC accuracy. The LTC2499 includes a high accuracy, temperature sensor and an integrated oscillator. This device can be configured to measure an external signal (from combi- nations of 16 analog input channels operating in single- ended or differential modes) or its internal temperature sensor. The integrated temperature sensor offers 1/30th °C resolution and 2°C absolute accuracy. The LTC2499 allows a wide common mode input range (0V to VCC), independent of the reference voltage. Any combination of single-ended or differential inputs can be selected and the first conversion, after a new channel is selected, is valid. Access to the multiplexer output en- ables optional external amplifiers to be shared between all analog inputs and auto calibration continuously removes their associated offset and drift.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LTC1278 handbook

The LTC ®1278 is a 1.6µs, 500ksps, sampling 12-bit A/D converter that draws only 75mW from a single 5V or ±5V supplies. This easy-to-use device comes complete with a 200ns sample-and-hold, a precision reference and an internally trimmed clock. Unipolar and bipolar conversion modes add to the flexibility of the ADC. The low power dissipation is made even more attractive by a 8.5mW power-down feature. Instant wake-up from shut- down allows the converter to be powered down even during brief inactive periods. The LTC1278 converts 0V to 5V unipolar inputs from a single 5V supply and ±2.5V bipolar inputs from ±5V supplies. Maximum DC specs include ±1LSB INL and ±1LSB DNL. Outstanding guaranteed AC performance includes 70dB S/(N + D) and 78dB THD at the input frequency of 100kHz over temperature. The internal clock is trimmed for 1.6µs conversion time. The clock automatically synchronizes to each sample command, eliminating problems with asynchronous clock noise found in competitive devices. A separate convert start input and a data ready signal (BUSY) ease connections to FIFOs, DSPs and microprocessors.

LINEAR TECHNOLOGY LT1789-1/LT1789-10 Manual

LT1789-1/LT1789-10 are micropower, precision instrumentation amplifiers optimized for single supply operation from 2.2V to 36V. The quiescent current is 95μA max, the inputs common mode to ground and the output swings within 110mV of ground. The gain is set with a single external resistor for a gain range of 1 to 1000 for the LT1789-1 and 10 to 1000 for the LT1789-10. The high accuracy of the LT1789-1 (40ppm maximum non-linearity and 0.25% max gain error) is unmatched by other micropower instrumentation amplifiers. The LT1789-10 maximizes both the input common mode range and dynamic output range when an amplification of 10 or greater is required, allowing precise signal processing where other instrumentation amplifiers fail to operate. The LT1789-1/LT1789-10 are laser trimmed for very low input offset voltage, low input offset voltage drift, high CMRR and high PSRR. The output can handle capacitive loads up to 400pF (LT1789-1), 1000pF (LT1789-10) in any gain configuration while the inputs are ESD protected up to 10kV (human body). The LT1789-1/LT1789-10 are offered in the 8-pin SO package, requiring significantly less PC board area than discrete multi op amp and resistor designs.
