This application note discusses the implementation of Field-Oriented Control (FOC) for a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) using space vector pulse width modulation with two shunts each connected to each phase of the motor for current measurement. Sensored FOC operation is demonstrated using QEI sensor.
