HWD2161 is a bridge-connected audio power amplifier that can provide 1.1W of average continuous power to an 8Ω load using a 5V power supply with a THD+N of 1%. The HWD2161 audio power amplifier is designed to provide high-quality output power and uses surface mount technology with a minimum number of external components. The HWD2161 does not require output coupling capacitors, bootstrap capacitors, or buffer circuits, making it ideal for low-power portable systems. The HWD2161 uses an externally controlled low-power shutdown mode and an internal thermal shutdown protection mechanism. Overall gain stability of the HWD2161 can be set to as high as 10 differential gain through an external gain configuration resistor, without the need for external compensation components. Higher gains can be achieved through appropriate compensation.
