intersil X93254 Manual

The X93254 is a digitally controlled potentiometer from Intersil, consisting of two resistor arrays, two wiper switches, a control section and a non-volatile memory. Two wiper switches individually control the positions of two potentiometers. A potentiometer is implemented by a resistor array composed of 31 resistive elements and a wiper switching network. The position of each wiper element is controlled by a set of independent CS, U/D and INC inputs. The position of the wiper can be stored in non-volatile memory and then be recalled upon during a subsequent power-up operation. Each potentiometer is connected as a two-terminal variable resistor and can be used in a wide variety of applications including: Bias and Gain control, LCD Contrast Adjustment.

intersil X9119 Manual

This data sheet describes the features and functions of the Intersil X9119 single supply/low power/1024 tap/2-wire bus single digitally controlled (XDCP™) potentiometer. The potentiometer is implemented using 1023 resistive elements in a series array and has a 10-bit resolution. Between each element are tap points connected to the wiper terminal through switches. The user can control the position of the wiper on the array through the 2-wire bus interface. The potentiometer also has an associated volatile Wiper Counter Register (WCR) and a four non-volatile Data Registers that can be directly written to and read by the user. The contents of the WCR control the position of the wiper on the resistor array through the switches. Powerup recalls the contents of the default data register (DR0) to the WCR. The XDCP™ can be used as a three-terminal potentiometer or as a two terminal variable resistor in a wide variety of applications including control, parameter adjustments, and signal processing.
