linear DESIGN FEATURES LTMag-V18N02-08-LT3570-ChrisFalvey service manual

The LT3570 simplifies complex multi-rail power supply designs by integrating three DC/DC regulators into a single package: a current mode buck regulator, a current mode boost regulator, and an LDO controller. It offers a wide operating voltage range, each regulator has independent input voltages and shutdown circuitry, and it has soft-start circuitry.

LINEAR LTC3100 Manual

This document describes a multi-rail DC/DC converter that can generate multiple outputs from inputs as low as 0.7V. By connecting the input sources of the LTC3100 to the boost converter and buck converter, a regulated 3.3V output can be generated from single-cell or dual-cell input voltage. When USB or wall adapter power is available, the buck converter is automatically enabled and generates a 3.3V output that is set 3.8% higher than that of the boost converter. This puts the boost converter in sleep mode, reducing the load on the batteries. This allows for seamless transition from battery power to USB power.

LINEAR LTC3593 Manual

This document is about LT3593, LT3593 is a white LED driver that supports 1-Wire current programming. It can drive up to 10 white LEDs in series from a single lithium-ion cell, ensuring matched LED current and eliminating the need for ballast resistors. The device has an internally compensated step-up DC/DC converter that switches at 1MHz, so it can be used with tiny, low profile external components. The LT3593 features an internal 5-bit DAC, allowing the LED current to be programmed using only one pin. The device features true output disconnect in shutdown as well as a unique high side current sense allowing it to function as a "1-wire" current source where the low side of the LEDs can be connected to the power supply, without the need for external resistors.

LINEAR LTC3225 Manual

Supercapacitors (or ultracapacitors) are increasingly being used for short-term energy storage and applications that require intermittent high energy pulses. This article introduces a power ride-through circuit application, in which a backup energy source cuts in and powers the load if the main power supply fails for a short time. In the past, this type of application was dominated by batteries, but electric double layer capacitors (EDLCs) are quickly gaining ground due to falling price-per-farad, size, and effective series resistance per capacitance (ESR/C). In a power ride-through application, series-stacked capacitors must be charged and cell-voltage balanced. Supercaps are switched into the power path when needed and the power to the load is controlled by a DC/DC converter. The LTC3225 supercapacitor charger has several features that make it a good choice for power ride-through applications. It comes in a small, 10-lead 3mm × 3mm DFN package and features programmable charging current, automatic cell voltage balancing, low drain current on the supercapacitors, and a patent pending, low noise, constant current charger.

LINEAR LTC2274 Manual

The LTC2274 is a 105Msps, 16-bit ADC that simplifies the digital connection between the ADC and FPGA by replacing the usual parallel interface with a novel high speed serial interface, thus reducing the typical number of required data input/output (I/O) lines from 16 CMOS or 32 LVDS parallel data lines to a single, self-clocking, differential pair communicating at 2.1Gbps. This frees up valuable FPGA pins and board space. It also allows flexibility to route across analog and digital boundaries—in noise sensi- tive applications, the serial interface provides higher noise immunity.
