This document introduces the Agilent 1200 Series LC Method Development Solution and Agilent Easy Access Software, which can be used to check reaction processes, find the best chromatography column and check impurities. The system supports up to 8 different columns. The superuser can define analysis methods for each installed column, including the appropriate balancing method. The superuser can also define projects for different user groups and individual users. Permission levels and priorities can be set for users and groups. For example, the highest priority can be given to reaction monitoring samples, so that these samples can be analyzed immediately. After the analysis is complete, the system can send the results to the relevant users by email.

This study uses Agilent 6460 high performance liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to perform high-sensitivity analysis of clenbuterol in pork. The results show that under the optimal detection conditions, the average recovery rate of clenbuterol at the addition level of 0.1 ng/g is 98.2%, the relative standard deviation is 3.5%, and the limit of quantification is 0.02 ng/g. This method has good sensitivity and accuracy and is suitable for the detection of clenbuterol in pork.

A quantitative method was developed to measure six glycosides in the herbal medicine and its preparations.

Agilent Reduction of solvent consumption by the size of the column Manual

This document describes a method to reduce solvent consumption by decreasing the inner diameter (ID), length, and particle size of LC columns, resulting in a maximum reduction of 86% in solvent consumption and a maximum reduction of 67% in analysis time. The experiment used ZORBAX Eclipse Plus C18 columns for isocratic separation of a diet carbonated beverage and gradient analysis of a hickory smoked seasoning. By replacing the column with reduced ID, length, and particle size, it is demonstrated that solvent consumption can be reduced and analysis time can be shortened.
